Best fat bikes - 2016
Maskinen Prodigy R1 27.5+

"Despite being a relatively young niche and one that's far more popular overseas, fat bikes are still gaining popularity in the UK. Maskinen Prodigy R1 27.5+ custom review

Carbon fat bike frame in plus configuration

"Maskinen is a small Danish direct-sell firm that specializes in fat bikes.
In this plus configuration the Maskinen proved itself to be a fun and capable companion that excels on longer rides.

At speed the Prodigy is surprisingly confident though, something that the lengthy 468mm chainstays no doubt contribute towards.

Considering it's a part-time fat bike, we were impressed with the ride in general". bikeradar read more

Maskinen Prodigy R1 27.5+

"The Prodigy from Danish firm Maskinen is a fat bike you’ve probably not heard of. Tipping our scales at just 11.47 kg (25.29 lbs).

As a brand, Maskinen is all about customization, and so should potential owners not want one of the six spec levels then this frame can be built from the ground up".

Review

By Jeff Price

"Maskinen Bikes are based in Denmark and aim to produce a bike that excels in terms of price and performance. I’ve been testing the Prodigy R1 B+ for a few weeks in the UK. Now straight away I’m loving the name, Prodigy, which means sensation/ phenomenon is there on the button.

As I first cast my eyes on this fine example of carbon loveliness it was a bike that made you say “Wow” out loud". Read more...
